Testing, testing

Oh wow, I really haven't (blogged) in a long time! I was looking through old posts that I never published and most of them started off with a similar sentiment or a mention of how I don't write often because my fingers get tired and/or I can't stop eating jelly beans.  There was even one that began with "I don't know much but I do know cupcakes" which I sincerely wish I had finished.  I even found a post talking about how Jackie gave me an ipad hoping that I would write more and that clearly had the opposite effect.  Candy Crush > (blogging), it's just a fact.

Please take a moment to picture me clearing my throat furiously while we catch up. I'm sure that most of my two or three readers are completely up to date on what has happened since my last post in 2013, but it has certainly been a roller coaster.  I moved in with my lady friend who quickly became my fiancee and now my adorable wife.  We have the same last name now and everything!  Our apartment had one window and a constant beat thanks to the bass of the music of our neighbor and amateur producer, "Playboy."  My eagle eyed watching of the other residents of our building payed off and I noticed immediately when the grumpy couple upstairs vacated. Life sure has improved now that we're upstairs and have 5 windows! Not bragging, just stating a fact.

Nothing can break a gal's spirit like losing her job due to a "reorganization" that consists of putting a non-professional in your role.  Then months passing with no luck on the job front.  Then losing my Benny and my mom.  I miss Dotty so much. I have many good memories of her recorded on this here (blog) and I want to continue to share memories.  There's a wealth of delightful anecdotes in my unpublished posts.

Of course things improve with time and I am employed again and taking classes, just like old times. One thing that is great for getting out of a funk is listening to the Dear Sugar advice podcast from WBUR.  Yikes, a few seconds into the first letter and things don't seem so complicated anymore. Another great incentive for (blogging) is avoiding school work!  Library budgets?  I don't want to get depressed, thanks. I am also reminded of many of my old catchphrases including "flapjack!"--that was a good one. Here I go again!
