Anoka grad Birklid named MIAC Swim & Dive Athlete of the Week | ABC Newspapers

Ana Birklid, Anoka graduate, senior at the College of St. Benedict, was named MIAC Women’s Swim and Dive Week Athlete. Birklid was part of four wins – two individual and two relay – to help CSB defeat Macalester in a double MIAC match. Birklid recorded a 200 best of the season free time of 2: 00.57 and a 500 best of career free time of 5: 28.19, despite not having attended the event since his first season in 2018-19. He has also been part of the 400 free and 400 medley winning relays. Bennies’ 400 free relay times of 3: 44.22 are in 30th place in the NCAA Division III this season, while the 400 medley relay time of 4: 10.62 is No. 20 in the nation.
